As we explained at the end of this blog, at Social Media Guide, we chose Kartra as our email platform. We have been working with Kartra for a while now, and love all the features it offers.
For those of you who are using Kartra too, or those who are considering working with the platform, we decided to elaborate a bit more on Kartra's email function.
In this blog, we will tell you all about three of our favorite Kartra Email features. We hope these three tips will help you make the most of our email campaigns.
For those who don't know Kartra yet: Kartra is an All-In-One Marketing Platform and sales funnel tool. The platform offers absolutely everything a business needs: From website builder to lead tracking function to help desk services to a sales funnel tool, e-commerce software, and so much more.
One of the features Kartra offers is Kartra Email: An email marketing tool. With this tool, you can collect email addresses, build email lists, and send out emails to your (potential) customers. Email marketing is still an incredibly popular part of most marketing strategies, and, according to DCN, every $1 spent on email marketing generates $38 on average. That is a massive ROI of 3,800%. Worth the investment, right?!
As explained earlier, we use Kartra to send out our emails. We experimented with different email platforms and tried out many different email functions within Kartra and other platforms. What did we learn? A lot of cool things and features. Are you working with Kartra too? Then we advise you to follow these three tips:
Making an email look good is incredibly easy with Kartra’s email platform. When setting up an email campaign, you can simply create or select a ready-made template from the Design Template section on the platform. Do you have your own style in mind? Then you can choose your layout, colors, and add your own images or a logo.
By using a template, you make your emails look professional and consistent. You can use your own branding style, which makes your email easy to recognize by those receiving it.
Another cool feature by Kartra that we love to use is their A/B test function for emails. This function lets you send out different versions of your email to different parts of your mailing list, to compare the results. Things you could test are differences in text, different colors, different CTA's or different positions of the features in your email. As we learned from experience, a small difference can have a big impact on your open rate and conversion.
When setting up an email, Kartra will ask you to which percentage of your mailing list you would like to send your email. To make sure you send your email to half of your list, simply select 50%. When you do the same for another version of your email, you can easily compare which email works best. Running a careful split test can have a significant impact on your conversion since it will allow you to continue with the email that is most successful.
Although we already briefly mentioned this last tip in our previous blog, we simply have to mention this one again.
In our opinion, one of the coolest features of Kartra Email is the ‘email automation’ function. Through the automation function, you can incorporate Kartra Email into your automated sales funnel. How? By telling Kartra exactly which people need to receive which email and under which conditions.
For instance: You create an email with a special offer. Only the people who have visited the website and clicked on a specific link (a blog, for instance) receive the email, because they have shown interest in a product or service. You don’t have to do anything: Once set up, Kartra will send out the correct emails for you. This can save you a lot of time!
